Meaningful change starts with compassion.
The Joss Stone Foundation
The Joss Stone Foundation, established in 2016, is a UK-based charitable trust committed to supporting grassroots organizations around the world. With over 200 projects visited across more than 40 countries, the Foundation’s mission is rooted in compassion, connection, and practical impact.
This Baby Cuddling Volunteer Program grew out of that mission, combining global humanitarian values with hands-on NICU experience to create something truly special.
Developed in collaboration with neonatal nurses, volunteer coordinators, and infant-care experts, including Cheryl Allmon, Director of Volunteer Services at East Tennessee Children’s Hospital, the program equips hospitals to implement safe, structured, and emotionally grounded cuddler programs. Cheryl’s hospital has operated one of the most respected NICU cuddler programs in the United States for over two decades, and her guidance has been central in shaping this training. The result is a program that supports fragile infants, eases pressure on clinical teams, and brings comfort to families. Every element of this course reflects the belief that small, loving actions, such as a simple cuddle, can have a lasting impact.
